Caucasican Belladonna is native to the Northern Caucasus and touts many of the same physical and historic folk uses as common belladonna. Belladonna is an herb with a rich history that is native to central Europe and has been used during the times of the Druids/ Celts for ritual purposes. Due to the toxic nature of this plant, it's use was at times, sinister, as it could also be used as a covert method of poisoning. During early rudimentary medical procedures, belladonna was considered a medicinal plant and was used for sedation. In modern times, it is still utilized as a natural remedy to treat migraine headaches (Hyland's Homeopathic) and the active chemical hyoscine is a constituent of several modern day medications.
Sold for historic and educational purposes only. All parts of this plant should be considered toxic. Do not consume.
