Yellow Flowered Belladonna is a rare variety of belladonna that boasts all the same chemical attributes as common belladonna but the plants produce yellow chaliced shaped flowers and pale yellow berries.
Belladonna is an herb with a rich history that is native to central Europe and has been used during the times of the Druids/ Celts for ritual purposes. Due to the toxic nature of this plant, it's use was at times, sinister, as it could also be used as a covert method of poisoning. During early rudimentary medical procedures, belladonna was considered a medicinal plant and was used for sedation. In modern times, it is still utilized as a natural remedy to treat migraine headaches (Hyland's Homeopathic) and the active chemical hyoscine is a constituent of several modern day medications.
